Course overview....but Incentive
The "Incentive program" is an extension program where current courses are pushed to more advanced levels.
-These courses are the standard mandatory class, such as:
English, Math, Science, and Socials Studies.
-This course is made for students that are "above average" or looking for a challenge.
-To join, you need to take a test (date not know by me,) containing the standard course material
If you already were in incentive and haven't gotten kicked out, you will automatically be sent to incentive.
-To stay in incentive you must have a straight proficient - extending grades, any lower and you will be kicked out and reapply if you want to rejoin


Incentive English Language Arts 9
**Requirements**: Accepted into the Incentive Program.
This course builds on **Incentive Humanities 8**, focusing on **Communication, Thinking**, and **Personal and Social competencies**. Students will enhance their skills in **reading, writing,** and creating various texts, including **digital formats**. They will engage in purposeful communication, **listening, sharing ideas**, and **presenting confidently** while exploring the connection between **language and culture**. The curriculum includes literature such as **novels, short stories, plays, and poetry**, along with enrichment opportunities like **independent studies, group projects, and debates**. Students will demonstrate their understanding through **written, visual, and oral work**, as well as **inquiry projects**.
EN: INCENTIVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS 10
- **Requirements**: Accepted into the Incentive Program (every other course is Incentive).
- Focus: Builds on Incentive Humanities 8, emphasizing **Communication, Thinking**, and **Personal and Social competencies**.
- Goals: Develop confident **readers, writers**, and **creators** of various texts, including digital.
- Skills: Learn to **listen, share ideas, present information**, and understand the connection between **language and culture**.
- Literature: Respond personally and critically to **novels, short stories, plays, poetry, and non-fiction**.
- Curriculum: Full Grade 9 curriculum with enrichment opportunities like **independent studies, group projects, discussions, inquiries, and debates**.
- Projects: Explore challenging literature and demonstrate learning through **written, visual, oral work, and inquiry projects**.
